Fifty Years of the Russel Archives at McMaster

In 1968, McMaster University acquired the Bertrand Russell Archives making it a home for the British philosopher, logician, essayist, and peace advocate. In 2018, we will celebrate 50-years of the Bertrand Russel Archives.

As part of the celebrations, McMaster will host the combined meetings of the Society for the Study of the History of Analytical Philosophy and the Bertrand Russell Society.

The Russell Archives are located in the The William Ready Division of Archives and Research Collections and includes correspondence, manuscripts, tapes, films, photographs, medals, and permanently displayed writing desk.
